Say yes to a handsome crew, when you claim this 1960s baseball green base bobble head lot of (6). These agreeable fellows are all attractive examples, with bold paint and nice gloss.
The headliner is a Chicago White Sox figure with bat, that is housed in its original factory box. Moderate age toning is evident on the uniform, the jersey decal shows sporadic flecks of loss, and the head tilts up a bit, limiting this guy to an (EX-MT) rating, though display appeal is strong. The box is fairly clean, and it retains a solid shape. The top end panel is stamped with "Chicago White Sox", and the word "ball" is written above the stamp.
Another highlight is a somewhat tough Cleveland Indians 5" version. While this scarce size example displays exceptional paint detail for the most part, the jersey decal bears considerable wear. There is also a tiny fleck of paint loss on the collar at front, and a single white fleck is noted on the front of the base. Due to the decal wear, this one rates as (VG), though otherwise it presents much better.
Boston Red Sox with hair curl under brim has a few modest cracks on the left side of the face, and a small steak of surface loss on the jersey decal, that may well be a factory flaw. Due to the cracks, the grade is (VG), though otherwise it presents more like NM.
Boston Red Sox without hair curl under brim has two small flecks of white showing on the black "Boston" lettering of the base, and the letter "N" has a small color break. These conditions are likely factory flaws. The jersey decal didn't take at the sides where the design transitions into the arms. This condition is a factory flaw, and shouldn't be considered wear. With that in mind, this figure presents as a remarkable (NM+) example.
Philadelphia Phillies with hair curl under brim has a 1/2" curved crack on the head opening at right rear, and there is also a small gouge on the left sleeve, limiting the grade to (VG-EX), however these conditions have minimal impact on display appeal, and otherwise this one presents closer to NM.
Philadelphia Phillies without hair curl under brim, has one small paint chip on the hair at rear, which added to a few paint break flecks on the shoes and base, are all that stand in the way of a higher grade for this otherwise remarkable (EX-MT) piece.
