Long before he made history as the Padres' first major-league GM (1968-72), Eddie Leishman was a player and manager throughout the minor leagues. Leishman's playing career came to an untimely end when a pitched ball fractured his skull. His 1936 PCL contract offered here gave Leishman a $300/month salary with the Oakland Oaks for, coincidentally, the very year that Joe DiMaggio left the PCL for the Yankees. It's signed by Leishman and Oaks president Vic Devincenzi. EX-MT condition.
