Description

Having proved its potential with attendance–leading Braves clubs, the City of Milwaukee was granted another franchise in 1970 and remains an MLB hotbed today. These (4) caps were worn by Brewers principals that span the club’s lineage of 40-plus seasons. Includes: 1970-1977 “PRO KM CAP”; 1994-1996 Home “New Era 50/50”; 1995-1996 Road “New Era 50/50”; 2000-Present “New Era 50/50.” More on our website.

1970-1977 Milwaukee Brewers a blue wool accessory with “M” embroidered to the front center in yellow, with a blue button atop the six-point crown suspension. The interior sweatband is home to a “PRO KM CAP” label/stampings, as well as a size “7-1/4” stampings. On the bill’s underside, a black marker notation of “3” suggests wear by (likely) Joe Lahoud, Deron Johnson, Gorman Thomas or Ed Kirkpatrick. Light to moderate wear is evident.

1994-1996 Milwaukee Brewers Home Cap a blue wool cap with “MB” logo embroidered to the front center in gold-on-green-on-white, with a blue button stop the six-point crown suspension. The interior plastic-lined sweatband is home to a “New Era 50/50” label and a size “7-1/4” tag. On the bill’s underside, a handwritten “2” suggests wear by Jose Valentin. Cap shows moderate wear.

1995-1996 Milwaukee Brewers Road Cap a blue wool cap with “MB” logo embroidered to the front center in gold-on-green-on-white, a green bill and a blue button atop the six-point crown suspension. The interior plastic-lined sweatband is home to a “New Era 50/50” label and a size “7-1/4” tag. On the bill’s underside, a handwritten “37” suggests wear by Graeme Lloyd. Cap shows moderate wear.

2000-Present Milwaukee Brewers Cap a blue wool cap with a barley-themed “M” logo embroidered to the front center in white-on-gold, and a blue button stop the six-point crown suspension. The interior plastic-lined sweatband is home to a “New Era 50/50” label and a size “7-3/8” tag. On the bill’s underside, a handwritten “19” is of unknown origin, as that number had long-since been retired in honor of Robin Yount. This numeric identifier was possibly inscribed as an inspirational reminder, as although Yount has often suited up and helped at Brewers spring training camps near his Arizona residence, he has always worn a size “7” or smaller cap. This one shows light wear.
