Produced at the Philadelphia Mint in an estimated quantity of 24,000 the 1955 “Doubled Die Obverse” Lincoln Cent is perhaps the most famous minting error in U.S. Mint history. Presented is a gorgeous 1955 DDO Lincoln Cent which has been graded MS62BN by the prestigious PCGS grading service. This fantastic specimen presents appealing luster, handsome details and the complete date and motto “doubling” prized by collectors. With an estimated survival rate of less than 4,000 examples in Mint State the offered coin is a true numismatic treasure.
